Go See Doctor Dre's Bloggie!!

These are of Hootie and Dr. Dre. Dre is a psychiatrist and Hootie needs him!!

Dear friends and neighbors out there, you have got to go to Doctor Dre's blog!! We are so excited 'cause his daddy took the best action shots of the 3 of us at the dog park last Saturday. Dre was very cool and calm. Hootie was a bit over enthusiastic. He wouldn't let the poor little guy take a breather. I, of course, was my usual carefree self. Our mommy's photos aren't quite so good, but we're gonna post some here anyway. She is still working on a collage. we'll see if that happens. Nice try Mommy. Way to go. Okay, now go over to Dr. Dre's!

Remember When?

Oh I remember when Mom would let us girls run through the sprinkler on a hot summer day. The coolness of the water as the sunshine felt so good once you were good and soaked.

I took some of my nieces and Sloan to a park in Norman, OK that has a great little place to have some summertime fun. It's free and it's a great way to beat the heat!

We had a good time enjoying pizza and some fun in the sun. Think we will have to go back again soon. Maybe I should get my sisters to go and we can have some fun under those buckets and sprinklers!

Practicing for the big world.....

Hi there....well, I have been enjoying your sites and photos at the park, on hikes, at doggie parties...just havin' a lot of outdoor fun!

I know I have more time to go before I can get out there and really EXPLORE! But, thought I would just show what I have been doing to keep busy....... I will be out and about more, come August.

Helpling with the new piece of carpet....still working on that backpack remodel for dad.... I seem to be outgrowing my bed! Next size please!

Got lots of squeezy toys....this one has a squeaker, and can go in the water....I have a little inflated pool out back....still getting used to it....it looks like an awfully big water dish!

Really like that chair...the one with the teeth marks....don't think they are all mine, but definitely a good snaggle-tooth chew.

Well bloggy friends...please keep me posted on what you are up to, as I enjoy all of your adventures!

Happy Sunday Evening!

Guess I've been thinking ahead to autumn days....falling crisp golden red leaves, pumpkins on the vine, marshmellows over a campfire, cool crisp days...

I dusted off the punchneedle and started a new lil' project. Can you guess what it's gonna be?

The An American Primitive Gathering Group has been doing a star retreat this weekend and I finished up this quick hand~hooked chair pad. I think it will be great with Independence Day being here in just a few days!

Check back soon I will be updating my Lemon Poppy Seed Shop this week and plan to list something on eBay.

Hiding from the bone monsters

We got up this morning and it was actually cool!!! It is the first time in over a week it has actually been nice so mom gave me a nice big bone to take outside. Now of coarse you all know about the bone monsters and how they try to steal your bone if you leave it alone for even a moment and how you have tuck yourself into tight little corners so they don't sneak up behind you (even if it is in mom's flower bed). So here I am with my nice marrow bone deciding where to hide first. Under the tree in mom flower bed was my first preference but than I thought mom would probably say I flattened the flower that was underneath me - which we coarse was already like that before I laid down. I saw that look in moms eyes though so I though I had better move. Next I tried under the pink bushy thing next to the air conditioner and that was fine until it suddenly came on. Then I went and laid under mom's chair but she didn't seem to appreciate me gnawing on the bone right under her. So then I had to wander around the yard carrying my bone and doing my whining ' scare the bone monsters away' noises. I finally settled down under the tree again but then mom went inside so of coarse I had to follow and take my nice dirty bone inside too. Oh dog oh dog.....where to hide my bone now? I finally found the perfect place, right under dads cushion on the sofa. I hope he doesn't sit on it this time!!! Oh dog, dad just said the magic word - walkies!!! He is going to take me out. I had better go get my bone and drop it at moms feet for her to protect when I am out. Mom can't go with us as she a bad ouchie back and can hardly walk. She was trying to do a jigsaw puzzle and her back went crack pop crack and then she couldn't stand up straight. Hopefully she will be better tomorrow after she has been to see the cow-ro-practor.

What to Do On a Hot Summer Day!

With the temperatures soaring into triple digits it's nice to sit inside and do a little rug hooking. Of course the washing machine always seems to be getting a workout. Yesterday while at work I managed to work in some rug hooking, too.

This guy was a fun project to hook and he is a wonderful design by Among Friends. I just need to add some buttons to his overalls and do the binding and he will be ready for autumn days.

What to do with all those extra woolley scraps....a simple little mat with stars and sheep. Scrappy rugs are always one of my favorites reminds me of just making do with what you have.

Well I'm off to work on a few more projects.

Showing Some Tongue for The Scotties (&Java)

The Rocky Creek Scotties are having a contest in honor of their (upcoming) 100th post. It's a random drawing from pooches who post a pic of their tongues and leave a comment on the Scottie's blog. Here are our entries:

Mom couldn't decide between all our lovely tongue pics---there are so many, so she had us post 3. I guess we only get 2 entries though?? Go visit Lilly, Piper, Carleigh and Java and put in your entry to join the fun!
Hootie's getting really excited about the rodeo tonight. He goes to the local airport soon to get his special guests. Tomorrow we should have photos for y'all to enjoy!!
Peace Out, BabyRocketDog

Second post today!...I've been tagged by Sedona!

Woopie...super good at games...especially those involving my TEETH! But, this one is fun for my mom too! So, here goes, and oh! thanks so much Sedona, you are a sweetie!

Here's what we found for 6th file / 6th photo wise.....well, yeh, that IS mom in the clown suit on the far right.....she said she had fun, but I am a little embarassed! (Note to self,: snaggle-tooth clown suit!)

So, we looked at the 6th picture of MY photos...and found ME with mom, River and dad, Trip. I like this one the best....and hooman mom watching over me.... (yea, the one that was in the clown suit).

Here are the instructions:
1. Open your "My Photos" folder and select the 6th folder.

2. Select the 6th photo in that folder.

3. Post the photo along with the story behind it.

4. Tag 5 of your friends to do the same thing.Sounds like fun, huh? You never know what might show up on someone's blog!!!

Ok bloggy friends! Here goes! A few five that we thank and appreciate!........but, we appreciate everyone, so it's tough....
1) Elizabeth and Luna http://dbwluna.blogspot.com/
2) The Little Dog Shelter in the Holler http://thelittledogshelterintheholler.blogspot.com/
3) Haley - Talk of the Dog http://talkofthedog.blogspot.com/
Ok! Have fun, got to run....more furniture to 'snaggle-tooth!'
Sierra Rose

A little bigger every day!

I've been pretty busy lately....snaggle-toothing lots of cool stuff.... Actually, the chair tastes a lot better than the sticky I am supposed to chew on, in the photo above.... Below....Dad wanted a backpack remodel, so I have been working on that project....trying to shorten the really long straps....
And....after a few (hours!) of my snaggle-tooth projects, I am ready for a snozzle.

Hope you are all doing well...see ya again soon....

The Rodeo At Last!! ~ Disregard the date---this is Friday,June 26th!!

Bow Wow Whoopee!! The Kootenai River Rodeo is in town and I have a pretty little filly (WFT) accompanying me! Yes, the lovely Aggie has flown in from Boston and agreed to ‘go cowgirl’ for the weekend! She even brought one of our best buddies, the fabulous Miss Asta, to help with her outfit changes and provide some pictures!! This is a Pro-West sanctioned rodeo ~ the real thing friends! My little heart was just pounding in anticipation of Agatha‘s arrival. When she and Asta stepped off their private Learjet at the county airport I almost fainted. Such classy pups with how many bags?? Asta said she was just along to help Aggie out and said (& I quote), “You won’t even know I am there dear. Totally behind the scenes on this trip.” Of course, she said it with her little Baba Wawa accent, which I can not begin to imitate. He he.

Aggie and me, Hootie, posing in one of our rodeo outfits. Photo by Archie.
Yee Haa!! Giddy up bronco!
-
All you wanna-be cowpokes, eat yor hearts out!!

Here is a quote about the rodeo from the Boundary County Digest, a local paper: Ken (Pres. of the Selkirk Saddle Club) explained that the Kootenai River Rodeo is a Pro-West sanctioned rodeo. Most of the contestants are Pro-West, but any resident who wants to complete can enter as a “local cowboy” if he/she lives within 75 miles of Bonners Ferry… Welllllll, guess who entered the team roping contest with me??!! Okay, she got disqualified due to the 75 mile rule, but what fun we had!! Doesn't she cut a pretty figure on that horse??

The above 4 photos were taken by our dear friend Asta. She is a master photographer. Seems she takes after her artistic momma. Thanks Asta!! We'll have a few more rodeo pics later. Hope you have enjoyed these. We all had a great time!!
Welshie Hugs and Kisses,
Hootie

Primitive Hand Hooked Rug Mr. Pennyworth

Even though it's been so hot here I've been finishing up a few rugs. Just got this fella done. He's a pattern I designed last year as a needle punch and he was fun to do as a hooked rug.

The heat looks as though it is here to stay and the only good thing about it is that you can hang clothes out on the line and they are dry in no time.

For those doing the primitive sampler I hope to have some more free doodles ready in a day or so.
