Looking at Hume Lake (Sequoia National Forest), towards Kings Canyon. This is a wonderful area. We go every year, late July. An amazing area to hike, bike, paddle, swim and just explore. And, quite relaxing! This year, little Sierra Rose kept us (especially me) quite busy! She had tons of energy, but we were able to keep her active, entertained and interested in all the things camping had to offer.

Hume Lake Dam. There is a great path to run, bike or walk around the lake, about 3 miles around.

Paddling and swimming any time of day.
Getting used to the water and swimming!
Big stickie! No problem!

View from Hume Lake into Kings Canyon. Hume Lake is at 5,300ft. It is beautiful, quite warm. No power boats, so perfect for paddling and swimming.

First day out....hanging with dad....

Mom and her crazy hair again! Get that hair!!....I can't see in front with mom's wild doo!

Dad and I are just taking in the view into Kings Canyon, and watching all the swimmers, paddlers and sail boards going by....oh! duckies too.

Testing the waters with mom...she's got her safety jacket on...

Psst....I think I liked riding in the kayak better than swimming....but, don't tell....it's very relaxing...dad and I just chill...mom paddles us around...we stop for swimming lessons at various little beaches...then back in for more paddling....

Hangin' on to mom's shorts! I'll get it....come here stickie!
Mom will put a few more photos on...for another post......fun trip!
