We took our time....meandered...and would leave a longer hike for another day.
Mom and I had a nice morning. Our typically busy County seemed quiet and with the sun out and low breeze....ahhhhh!
A bit on the pooped-out side, I tried to keep my head up just enough to see if we were making any more stops...mom seemed to be on a roll! But nope, we were headed home. I was glad for some napping time...and do hope to explore more places soon. Have a really nice weekend pals.

Errands on the first day of May
How did I end up here? Welll...hmmm. Mom and I headed out on some errands this lovely morning...
And, then...thinking it would be nice to try a doggie park a few towns down the road....
Off we went to Sausalito (Spanish for 'small willow grove') elv. 13 feet! The dog park was ok, but with this lovely weather a lap along the waterfront sounded fantastic.... Typically a big tourist area, we must have been early! Just a few folks out, along with some magnificient views.
Sailboats on the bay.
A paddle-boarder enjoying the calm waters. It has been quite breezy the last few days.
Downtown SF in the distance.
Sausalito was a shipbuilding center in World War II, and is now home or dock to sailing vessels of all kinds.
Well, we didn't hop on a boat and sail away....but did quite enjoy walking the area....
....and since we were so close to the bridge, we decided to extend our little trip of 'errands'....
Even though we live close, the beauty of the Golden Gate Bridge and the history of San Francisco always leave us in awe.
Looking down to Kirby Cove at the foot of the Marin Headlands. There is a campground there.
How far is it to the beach mom? All downhill, eh?
We decided to hike a bit of the fireroad heading towards Kirby Cove...interested to see what was around the next bend...
A moderate downhill, we enjoyed the big views, and examined the wildflowers...lots of poppies in bloom.
As well as Indian paintbrush, purple lupine, irises....
