Daily adventures
More things to snaggle and explore on our camping trip :)
An early eve walkie, and looking into Kings Canyon. It has been beautifully clear this week.
Crossing the trail behind Hume Lake Dam...."constructed in 1908 for the Hume-Bennett Lumber Company and was the world’s first reinforced concrete, multiple arch dam. The impounded water served as a log-holding pond and as the water supply for an extension of the flume..."
Below is our view to Buck's Rock Lookout and our destination for the Wednesday.
Everyday is a full day with my hoomans! Back at camp...I am semi-sleepy eyes... So much to see, hear and do...and on occasion, I need to let out some barks... That's my job, right? Campsite safety.
Wednesday, on our drive towards Buck Rock Campground and dad's big ride drop site.
While mom got out to take some photos, she had this campsite watch dog run out to greet her...or let her know that she was in their campsite!
Well...a nice campsite indeed! If you can see on the right side is their house on wheels, and an amazing view looking East.
At Buck's Rock Campground, we took a little walk. Lots of big granite boulders, stickies and good smells.
Dad headed off towards Buck's Rock Fire lookout and then a 2.5hour up/down ride on fireroads back to our campsite at Hume Lake.
Mom and I followed a bit on foot, but the road soon turned a big uphill, and we decided we were up for heading back to camp and taking another swim :)
On the drive back we pass Big Meadow.
Looking again into Kings Canyon.
And, will leave you with a few friendly new pal pix :)
