Saturday started with lots of backyard hang-time and much needed relaxing. 
A short afternoon drive found us here...the base of Big Rock Ridge.
Greeted by new wildflowers, we followed the Loma Alta Fireroad.
This year is not predicted to be a big wildflower season here, but it's early yet...
Patches of serpentine rich soil, as found on Ring Mountain Open Space, makes for a variety of interesting blooms.

Ahhhhh.
A fog band teased us.

So glad we made this hike....there was more trail to explore, more uphill....
