My perch is all finished (well apart from the weather seal my dad has to put on it). But in terms of building it is done. Now what is truely amazing is the guy that built this for us. He worked in 90+ heat for four and half days to build this and it was that hot every day!!!! Mom was so worried he would get sick but he kept saying he was fine. Mom told him any time he wanted to cool off or needed a cold drink he could come inside - but he didn't. He bought his own big drink container and would stand under the sprinkler when he wanted to cool off. That is dedication to work and he was so fussy about every every little detail - my Dad was very impressed! As you can see Mom wasted no time in getting her plants up there. Now she just need the "perfect" table and chairs so we can sit outside and enjoy our barbecues. We are also going to have one of those sun setter awning installed as this room on the back is Mom's work room and it gets very hot with all the windows, so it will help cool her room as well as provide a shady spot on my perch for my garden watching.
