Dawning a 'bluebird' day

It dawned a blue sky, yet chilly day after a fast moving storm came through the Sierra Nevada mountains this past Friday. We timed our drive Friday eve quite well, as the storm had just moved on, winds were calming, and plows were working the roads and passes... Saturday morning was amazingly clear. Let's go to the meadow! This is probably my favorite place to play up here. And, tasty snow too. Winds pluming off a peak. At base was quite calm, but gusty up top for the morning.
I'm not one for the loud avalanche kabooms! We could see the debris from where we were.
Morning snooter sniffing.... Ah, good crispy smells.
I'll just stay here and check things out... The sun was quite bright and warming.
Oh yeah! Play time! Although we didn't get photos, I had some most wonderful times this weekend in the meadow... Mom and dad let me have lots of off-leash play!!! Besides staying on a long line when we x-country ski around, mom has been building her confidence in letting me just PLAY! I'm not going anywhere mom! Met some great pals too. Yeaooo!
Still always up for some ball - hill repeats! Charge!
After a morning of PLAY, and a bit of a x-country ski... I napped in my crate in our camper while mom and dad headed out for some time on the ski hill. Really brisk and gusty at the top. The sun just behind.
Dad and mom touring around the backside ski area.
Some great, yet mellow chutes below the (off-limits) Cirque. But quite a grand area to look at.
We had quite a nice weekend. Season's over end of April, so we'll keep trying to make the weekends.
Wubba Wubba! Have a nice week pals!
