Hope you are all having a good one. This is me last Friday at Alder Creek Campground...one of our favorites in Truckee, CA. Guess who stayed there a few weeks before us???
We got a LATE start last Thursday eve, and in an effort to miss all the Hwy. 80 Labor Day traffic, we ended up launching our trip at 9:30PM Thursday eve...arriving to Alder Creek at 1AM and waking up to find us surrounded by some rock star busses! :)

Alder Creek Campground is a private campground in Tahoe Donner. Love this campground! Nice, quite clean and cute!
Saw some tree furries there. We spent the day in Truckee and then headed to our weekend destination of Sardine Lakes!

A wonderful family owned resort since 1941. Love this place, and the Sardine Lake Campground just a 5 minute walk from the lake.
