Crocheting a Rag Rug

Well it seems like I have been blowing and a going for the last week. Friday I had a wonderful time going to the quilt show in Oklahoma City and of course I couldn't resist a few new patterns. Even bought Danny an iron. He said to buy him something so he likes tools so why not an iron!

I've been busy making rag balls out of scrap fabric and then got out the crochet hook and decided to try my hand at making a crocheted rug. It's a fast project that will help to use up some of the fabrics I have on hand and turn them into something someone can use.

Saturday Pati and I went junkin' and to an antique shop. I had a truck full of goodies by the end of the day. I never knew there was so many neat places to go in Oklahoma City....and you can bet I'll be back!

Pati didn't buy the quilt she is looking at but we did find some great Ladies Home Journals from the 1800's along with a basketfull of other treasures.

I didn't buy this monkey but I do have someone in mind that I think it would make a GREAT Christmas present for! Just kidding it is a bit scary but I do believe we had one of these growing up.

Happy Trails...Ginger
